Abstract: This study used innovative mobile eye-tracking research technology to investigate how individuals with Down Syndrome interact with AAC displays. Participants were presented with an AAC display that included a visual scene display and navigation bar and instructed to “touch” a target item. Data were collected on the visual attention and motor selection patterns. Implications for AAC display design are discussed.
