Abstract: Individuals with severe speech and motor impairments often use AAC systems with alternative access methods such as eye-gaze and switch scanning. Currently, available AAC systems allow for limited flexibility in access, as only one technique can be used at one time. This study explored a new multimodal access technology which integrated eye-gaze and scanning with two adults with cerebral palsy.
