Purpose: To encourage student R&D in AAC through an AAC Student Research and Design Competition, and to support the RESNA Student Design Challenge at a free website.
Activities: We will sponsor an annual Student Research and Design Competition on thematic topics related to AAC (e.g., innovative access techniques, wearable AAC technology). In addition, the RERC on AAC will continue to support the availability of a website (https://sites.psu.edu/resnasdc/) at which over 350 student submissions to the RESNA Student Design Challenge are now publicly available.
