This project investigated the experiences of people who have cerebral palsy (CP) and who use AAC to communicate with medical professionals. The results of this research were discussed at the AAC Consumer and Technology Forum at ATIA 2022.
Thank you to the 34 individuals who participated in this study. The findings have been shared widely, and contributed to the development of an online instructional module to improve communication in healthcare settings.
We are currently working on a manuscript for submission to a peer-reviewed journal, and have presented the findings at three conferences (ATIA, RESNA, & ASHA) and via a webinar (USSAAC).
